Small Improvement in 50+ Re-Employment Rate

The proportion of people aged 50 and over managing to get back into work within 13 weeks of having been made redundant, rose in the second quarter of this year.

Between April and June just over one in four (25.6 per cent) of those aged 50+ got back into work within three months, up from one in five in the first three months of this year.

But even though the figures have improved, they continue to remain lower than for any other age group.
