Intergenerational Equity: TAEN / LSE Seminar Series on Older Workers

Have we been too generous to older people at the expense of the young? The next seminar in the TAEN/LSE academic seminar series on Older Workers will consider this issue.

It will take place on Thursday 22 September from 2.15 to 5.30pm in the Graham Wallas Room, London School of Economics, Houghton Street,  London WC2A 2AE.

  • Professor John Macnicol (LSE) will introduce the debate, asking why the debate on intergenerational equity has resurfaced recently.
  • Liz Emerson and Angus Hanton (The Intergenerational Foundation) - Have We Been Too Generous to Older People, at the Expense of the Young? The Case For.
  • Professor Paul Higgs (University College London) - Have We been Too Generous to Older People, at the Expense of the Young? The Case Against.

Whilst membership of the seminar group is based on a strict quota of practitioners, researchers and policy originators, we attempt to share outputs with TAEN members generally. If you would like to join the group or attend this seminar please let us know but bear in mind that numbers are limited
