TAEN member CARDI (Centre for Ageing Research and Development in Ireland) is holding this seminar in Belfast conjunction with TAEN as part of its Older People and the Recession seminar series.
The recession has impacted on the older worker and this seminar series aims to open up new debates on working and ageing as state pension ages are set to rise sharply in Ireland (North and South). The seminar, which will examine the myths, realities, challenges and opportunities relating to longer working lives and the extent to which workplaces are friendly to older workers.
Speakers include Paul McGill, Strategic Research Officer, CARDI; Dr Kevin Balanda, Associate Director, The Institute of Public Health in Ireland; Robert Anderson, Head of Unit, The European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions; Mark Keese, Senior Economist, OECD; and Chris Ball, Chief Executive, TAEN.
The seminar is free to attend but it is essential to book a place.
