What Next after Mandatory Retirement?
Bernard Casey, Principal Research Fellow, and Yuxin Li, Research Fellow, at the Institute for Employment Research at the University of Warwick presented on the fastest growing group in the labour market (people above NRA), drawing on a representative survey of employer attitudes to older workers that includes their use of post-retirement-age workers, and a special analysis of the Labour Force Survey that examines the jobs that older people do.
Matt Flynn, Researcher at Middlesex University Business School, spoke about the duty to consider employees’ requests to work on, relating it to what employers need to do. He also presented on the importance of the relationship between work restructuring and health and wellbeing in a post mandatory retirement environment.
