Events

Our seminars and conference focus on key age and employment issues. We draw on leaders in their fields from the UK and overseas to speak at our events. We focus particularly on the dissemination of ideas and concepts of age management with the objective of influencing employers, public policy makers and other labour market participants to seek change in the workplace. We hold events in London and around the country.

Academic Seminars

TAEN and the London School of Economics have teamed up to provide a new seminar group on older workers. The group will meet roughly at three-monthly intervals and will receive papers and presentations across a wide range of issues relevant to the labour market for people in mid and later life.  Whilst membership of the seminar is based on a strict quota of practitioners, researchers and policy originators, we will be attempting to share outputs with TAEN members generally. If you would like to attend the group please contact TAEN but bear in mind that numbers are limited and members of the LSE staff and students must also be accommodated.

The second seminar, held on 24 September 2009, was on the theme Older and Younger Workers: Must They Be in Competition for Jobs?
