Individuals

We direct individuals looking for employment, who want to change direction, develop their careers or undertake training to relevant organisations and a number of useful resources.

A number of TAEN member organisations offer employment and related services for individuals. We provide a list of them and links to their websites.

If you would like information on organisations who may be able to help you, please submit the online form or telephone us on 020 7843 1590.

Individuals can become supporters of TAEN (there is no subscription fee involved). You will receive news and other updates from us. Some supporters help us to draw attention to important issues by agreeing to share their experiences with the media. This makes a vital difference to our efforts to create better awareness and understanding of the issues older workers and jobseekers face. However, this is very much a matter of choice and not a condition of becoming a supporter.

TAEN Supporters in the News

A really important part is played by our individual supporters who speak to the media and make themselves available for interviews. Three have been interviewed by the BBC recently.  Click on their names for links through to the BBC sites.  Penelope MacLachlan spoke about working versus retirement. Tony Sylvester was interviewed about looking for work: No job after 1,000 applications.  Stephen Scullion was interviewed by Eddie Mair on the Radio Four PM programme and also by ITV.

If you can help us illustrate important issues, please return the Case Study form to us.
